Review: Girl, Your Goal is Jannah
Alhamdullilah, today I finished reading Girl, Your Goal is Jannah by author Farhat Amin.
I’ve wanted to read this book for a while. Curiosity finally took over after launching Jannah is the Goal. As a muslimah determined to remain close to my Creator, nourish my soul, and build an Islamic lifestyle, I’m certain this book will help me and you navigate the internal conflicts and external challenges we’re faced with daily.
The Review
Girl, Your Goal is Jannah is a book every Muslimah should read—whether you’re new to Islam or have been practising for many years, you’ll benefit from the reminders that can be so easily forgotten as we go about our daily lives.
With over sixty ayat and Hadith, this book is filled with wisdom, guidance, and reminders that are relevant to the challenges we face as Muslimahs today. Topics range from idolisation, envy, backbiting, other sins, marriage, friendships, family, forgiveness, and so much more—making it highly relatable and beneficial for us all.
If you find yourself trying to strive for Jannah, aspire to change your life for the sake of your akhirah, yet are left feeling overwhelmed when attempting to create that change, then this book is for you. Filled to the brim with prompts, ample space to reflect and jot down action steps—Girl, Your Goal is Jannah acts as a life coach and a great starting point.
The Layout
Each chapter begins with an ayat (verse of the Quran) or Hadith (saying of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ). This is followed by an explanation and breakdown by sister Farhat as they relate to our lives today.
The chapter concludes with prompts and questions to help you reflect on how the ayat or Hadith relates to your personal life, and the actions you can take to bring about meaningful and beneficial change.
The addition of dotted lines under each prompt offers plenty of space to answer questions, reflect, and plan the steps you’ll be taking for the sake of your akhirah.
